several inconvenient truths.

after work yesterday, while lulu and i took a turn down 16th and walnut streets, we were discussing how great it would be to work in retail, if only for the discounts. we were sure the work would probably suck, but the the assurance that you would have a guaranteed place to get discounted clothing would be incredible.

lulu, being the brutally honest person that she is, reminded me that working at a place where i could get discounts probably wouldn't help me at all; my style changes every week or two. this is true, and has recently caused me to raid my entire wardrobe and get rid of at least half of it and, of course, be then unable to replace much of it. i'm also very picky about the things i buy; i have to be absolutely in love with something or i have second thoughts and end up not buying anything. i'm one of those people (hopefully not the only one?) who has to go to every store twice before buying something because i want to make sure i'm getting exactly what i want.

yesterday, i actually bought something: adorable paisley boxer shorts from juicy couture (on sale for $35 and absolutely worth it!).
